About
ZIX (ジックス JIKKUSU) is a two-man unit under the management of Sun promotion entertainment. They serve as a rival unit to TSUKIPRO's Growth and frequently make appearances in ALIVE related media (ie. ALIVESTAGE), though are not strictly part of ALIVE as a series due to being from different agencies.
Originally they were the only known unit under SUNPRO, but have since been joined by the new unit TOBARI after being revealed at 2019 AGF.
Unlike the two main units of the ALIVE series, ZIX do not have one set producer. Instead, their CDs are more like those released by the members of the VAZZROCK series wherein multiple composers, lyricists, and arrangers will contribute, with most of their producers also being frequent producers for VAZZROCK.
Official Introduction
Being the final letter in the alphabet, "Z" can be seen as a symbol of finality, supremacy, or being the "ultimate".
When the singular "I" meets the power of the two of us it is multiplied, resulting in the symbolism of "X".
Combining the three results in "ZIX", a unit that will show you the greatest brilliance.[1]

Trivia
- Their illustrator is Tohiro Shijima, the series illustrator for ALIVE.
- Like the other units/series ZIX have their own mascots, though unlike the others Makoto and Mitsuru each have a unique mascot which is based on their roles in their daily horoscope show. Makoto's mascot is Ōkami (狼 lit. Wolf) while Mitsuru's is Kitsune (狐 lit. Fox). Despite their differences in appearance, the two mascots both sport matching bandanas around their necks.
