TSUKIPRO THE ANIMATION 2 is a 2021 anime series.
Overview[]
The series was originally announced at the end of the previous anime series' thirteenth episode. On June 19, 2020, it was revealed that the second season was finally going ahead and would premiere in 2021.
Later, on November 7, 2020, the first day of TSUKIPRO Sohonten, it was officially announced that the series will premiere in Summer, 2021.
On March 25, 2021, TSUKINO announced the titles for the four new opening songs for the series, Gonna Be Alright (SOARA), Jiyū no Tabiji (Growth), LOVE 'Em ALL (SolidS), & YOUR FREEDOM (QUELL). This was accompanied by official PVs for all four songs, as well as the reveal that the anime would premiere in July.
With the premiere date approaching, TSUKINO further teased new details for the season on May 27; episodes 5-7 features plots based around the TSUKINO HYAKKIYAKOU alternate universe, including unique end themes for each episode that are sung in shuffle-units comprised of the focal characters from each episode.
Episode 5's shuffle-unit features Morihito Arihara, Soshi Kagurazaka, Kensuke Yaegashi, Ryota Sakuraba, Shiki Takamura, & Tsubasa Okui. Episode 6's unit contains Sora Ohara, Ren Munakata, Nozomu Nanase, Rikka Sera, Dai Murase, Shu Izumi, & Eichi Horimiya. Lastly, episode 7's shuffle-unit features Koki Eto, Mamoru Fujimura, Issei Kuga, & Ichiru Kuga.
The series was originally scheduled to run from July 7 to September 29, 2021, however, due to COVID-19 infection concerns amongst the staff, after the airing of episode 8 it was announced that episode 9 would be postponed until December 1st. All previously released episodes from the season were re-aired in the lead up to episode 9 beginning with episode 1 on October 6, 2021.
Unlike the first season, which was available for streaming for English audiences through Crunchyroll, this season is being officially subtitled by HIDIVE; the season's overview page can be found here.

Following in the footsteps of the first season, PROANI2 had a countdown on both Twitter and YouTube to promote the anime leading up to the release of the first episode which aired on July 7, 2021. Unlike season 1, the countdown was the same across both sites; a short video showcasing one of the characters along with a short message.
The video countdowns began on June 21, 2021 and ran until the premiere. The featured characters are as follows:
