TSUKIPRO STAGE, or PROSTA for short, is a 2.5 dimension dance live series featuring Six Gravity, Procellarum, SOARA, Growth, ZIX, SolidS, & QUELL that began in 2020.
Overview[]
The series was originally only one episode, which was set to run in June, 2020, at Tachikawa Stage Garden. Unusually for a TSUKINO PRODUCTION stage series, several characters were absent from the play, one from each unit (likely due to scheduling conflicts). Usually if a character is absent there is a pre-recorded video appearance to serve as a substitute, but only Sora Ohara, Morihito Arihara, & Nozomu Nanase made a special appearance (an audio recording not video, however).
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic it was announced on May 11, 2020, that the episodes performances would be cancelled, alongside the cancellation of several other TSUKINO stageplays and lives. It was later announced on November 7th, 2020, at the first day of TSUKIPRO Sohonten that the play had been rescheduled and would now be performed in December, 2020. As a result of the schedule change however there were some minor adjustments to the cast lineup for the play: SOARA's Mori would now be appearing while Six Gravity's Aoi Satsuki, who was originally scheduled to appear, would be absent.
The play was later cancelled again on December 14, 2020, after Ryusei Horita, Sora's stage actor, was diagnosed with COVID-19 along with two of the staff working on the play. Mashu Ishiwatari and Hibiki Watanabe, Mori & Nozomu's actors, were also placed in quarantine due to close contact with Ryusei. Following this, TSUKINO made the decision to suspend all rehearsals for the play and cancelled all performances for the time being. TSUKINO later announced that due to no further staff or cast members testing positive they would go ahead with performances. The play was eventually held on December 19th & 20th with no live audience, and with Sora, Mori, & Nozomu absent. Due to the cast member absences, SOARA's songs were no longer featured in the dance live portions.
After the series having a year long hiatus, it was announced following the conclusion of ALIVESTAGE's sixth episode, Gift, that a second episode for PROSTA would be debuting in late 2022. The new episode was scheduled to feature the TAIKYOKU DENKI setting, and unlike the first episode it would also feature several members from SolidS & QUELL on STAGE. The play was scheduled to open on September 3, 2022, at Theatre G-Rosso, and was to run until September 11. On July 1, 2022, it was announced that due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances the play would have to be cancelled. It is currently unknown if the episode will be rescheduled for a later date at some point.
