Ruka Nadumi (名積 ルカ Nadzumi Ruka) is an idol under TSUKINO TALENT PRODUCTION. He is a member of the unit ROCK DOWN.

 Appearance

Ruka is young man of average height with bright pink hair, worn mostly down with a small side ponytail, long bangs, and light yellow eyes. He has slightly pointed canine teeth and wears a pink love heart earring with a small silver chain on his left ear.

 Personality

Ruka is highly unpredictable, except to Gaku, and can be a lot to handle at times. He enjoys the attention he gets and cannot stand to be alone. His acting skills are amazing, but once in character he gets stuck in character for a period of time. Ruka is fun loving and social and loves to be active.

He has a love for anything cute, pink, and fluffy, even saying that pink is his victory color. Despite his rather feminine appearance, he also has a very manly side to him. He is extremely professional in work settings and takes even the smallest of jobs seriously. He frequently exercises, so he has a lot of endurance and physical strength.

History

Ruka was apparently born to and raised by quite open-minded parents. They intentionally chose a gender neutral name for him so that no matter what he was born as or how he identified later in life, he could continue to use the same name.

They also encouraged him to love whoever and whatever he wants, this combined with his parents attitue towards gender could be why he is so unashamed about liking pink despite it being traditionally "girly" or "unmanly". Apparently, this was all because they wanted him to always feel unburdened, and not be held back by societal expectations whilst staying true to what he wants for himself.

Prior to joining the VAZZROCK project, Ruka was a growing star in the 2.5D world as a stage actor. He is a skilled actor with lots of experience, and is a great singer and dancer.

Etymology 

• The first character of his surname (名) means "name, noted, distinguished, reputation", while the second kanji (積) means "volume".
• Ruka's name is written in katakana "ル カ" so it has no meaning, but if it were in kanji it could have been (瑠, ru) "lapis lazuli" and (夏, ka) "summer".

Trivia 

• Despite being male, the name Ruka is generally considered feminine.
  • When Ruka asked his mother about it, apparently his parents chose the name so it would work for either a boy or a girl.
  • This is also why it was written in katakana rather than kanji.
• He is childhood friends with his band-mate Gaku.
• Ruka is apparently a camping enthusiast, being excited at the prospect along with Gaku and QUELL's Eichi.
• He shares his birthday with Hina Momosaki from Fluna.
• Ruka has a can collection in his room containing over 100 cans, which he endearingly calls his "collection-chan".
• He majored in sociology in college.
• Although Ruka is the smallest member of VAZZROCK, he is able to eat a lot of food, and holds his alcohol well.
