Machine Elements Stage: eins 「Sora wo Wataru Kaze」 (キソセカイステージ:eins『ソラヲワタルカゼ』 Kiso Sekai Sutēji: eins 「Sora wo Wataru Kaze」lit. Machine Elements Stage: one "Winds that Transcend the Sky") is a 2020 stage play featuring Six Gravity, Procellarum, SOARA, Growth & ZIX.
Overview[]
The first stage play episode in the TSUKIPRO STAGE series, the fifth episode to feature ALIVESTAGE, and the first play overall to be based on Machine Elements. The 2.5D stage play was first announced in 2020 alongside the SolidS & QUELL on STAGE episode based on the same theme, Machine Elements Stage: zwei 「Akai Honō」.
The play was scheduled to run at the Tachikawa Stage Garden in Tokyo from June 10th to June 13th in 2020 for a total of 6 shows. On May 11, 2020, it was announced that the episodes performances, along with Machine Elements Stage: zwei 「Akai Honō」, A.L.P Ver.Growth & TSUKIHANA KAGURA Kuro to Shiro Monogatari, had been cancelled as part of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
At the same time the cancellation was announced, it was revealed that the play was to receive a theme CD with two original songs; one opening and one ending, both sung by infinit0. The CD, Sora wo Wataru Kaze, was released online alongside sales of the plays merchandise on June 10.
On November 7th, 2020, the first day of TSUKIPRO Sohonten, it was revealed that the play had been rescheduled and would now be performed from December 16th to December 20th, 2020. The play was still scheduled for the same venue, Tachikawa Stage Garden, but would now have a total of 9 performances. Other changes to the play included the addition of Morihito Arihara to the cast and the absence of Aoi Satsuki, both due to the schedule change.
The play was later cancelled again on December 14, 2020, after Ryusei Horita, Sora Ohara's stage actor, was diagnosed with COVID-19 along with two of the staff working on the play. Mashu Ishiwatari and Hibiki Watanabe, Mori & Nozomu Nanase's actors, were also placed in quarantine due to close contact with Ryusei. Following this, TSUKINO made the decision to suspend all rehearsals for the play and temporarily cancelled all performances. On December 16, after no further cast or staff tested positive for COVID it was announced that the play would go ahead on December 19th & 20th with no live audience, and with Sora, Mori & Nozomu absent. Due to the cast member absences SOARA's songs were no longer performed during the dance live portions of the play.
*Note: Within the regular TSUKINO universe Machine Elements is a stage play that the members of TSUKIUTA., ALIVE, SQ, VAZZROCK & Swiiiiiits! participated in that was first introduced in 2018. This real life stage play is, presumably, based on some of the events of the fictional play (though somewhat modified due to not featuring all units).
