Haruto Kujikawa (久慈川 悠人 Kujikawa Haruto) is an idol under TSUKINO TALENT PRODUCTION. He is a member of the unit ROCK DOWN.

"The silent lone-wolf type... is what he seems, but he’s surprisingly someone who can ride along with others and is actually very friendly. He’s also somewhat of a natural airhead and he often gets teased about the gap between his personality and outward appearance.
He met Shou Onoda during an interview for a magazine back in his model days and they became friends afterwards.
He looks after Shou and Shou sometimes looks after him, too. They’re a good combination that balances each other well. He’s ROCK DOWN’s Warrior No. 2. (Warrior No. 1 is Ayumu)."[1]

Haruto is a tall young man with short black hair, with bangs framing his face as well as some falling between his eyes, and light gray eyes.
Personality[]
While aloof on the outside, Haruto is a very genuine and friendly person on the inside. His initial impressions cause many to think he is stiff, since he speaks so proper, but he's simply being his natural self.
Haruto is as steadfast and as straightforward as they go. On the surface, he seems to be a very serious young man with little to offer in terms of humor. However, his actual personality was considered eccentric yet strangely loveable by the other members when they first met.[2][3]
Because of how serious he looks on the outside, and how sure he is of himself and his principles, ROCK DOWN members have nicknamed him “Warrior No. 2” (with “Warrior No. 1” being Ayumu Tachibana).[2]
He is someone who is proud of who he is regardless of whether people view him as weird or unusual. He knows himself very well, and though he might not be aware of how “strange” his whims can be, he still enjoys doing them. He is quite unapologetic about himself.[2][4][5]
Despite his little eccentricities, Haruto is shown to be a very diligent and hard-working person. He can be meticulous and organized, and is not easily faltered when things stray from plan. He is the only person in ROCK DOWN who is capable of waking Shou up in the mornings. In fact, he is so good at the task that Issa has nicknamed him “Warrior Clock.” [6][7]
He can be quite excitable and quick to play along with his friends, too. Ever since joining ROCK DOWN, he has started joining them in their antics from time to time, if not starting them himself.[5][8][9]
He has a slightly blunt personality where he says the first thing that comes to his mind. He never means anything bad by it, so most of the members don’t mind in any way. Though, Reiji sometimes tries to argue with him in a joking manner.[2]
Haruto is very notorious for his weird jokes and references that ROCK DOWN sometimes end up speechless whenever he does them. Reiji is most of the time who acts as the “straight man” whenever Haruto does weird jokes. Something that Reiji particularly finds tiring on occasion.[2][4][8]
Haruto is quite bad at reading the atmosphere, but his animal-like instincts help him to get the gist of things. He’s very observant, and he’s very good at adjusting himself to the situation he’s faced with. He learned how to quickly get along with Ruka despite Ruka’s over-friendly attitude.[2][10]
Being a natural pacifist, Haruto likes to avoid conflict. When they started as a unit, Shou mentioned that arguments and conflict will be necessary in the long run, but Haruto wished to avoid it as much as possible. Haruto is very honest, and Shou has noted that Haruto has very honest eyes. He loves music and is easily moved whenever he experiences something he’s never felt before.[3]
Haruto has admitted that he is a poor talker. But as he spent more time with ROCK DOWN and consequently, VAZZY, he’s started to open up more. Even though some of the members were off-put by his personality the first time, they’ve all learned that he’s just a young man with a strong personality.[5][11]
He is a generally polite person and speaks politely with members who are older than him. Aside from Shou and the younger members (Naosuke and Yuma), Haruto refers to them with an honorific. He is very respectful of the people around him, and he always tries his best to not overstep his boundaries. He is helpful most of the time and is quick to offer his assistance if it’s needed.[2][3][12]
Haruto can also be a little petty and teasing whenever he feels like it, too. Issa has mentioned that Haruto’s personality reminds him of a puppy at one point.[12]
Haruto is also very imaginative and is an active thinker. He has a pretty wild imagination that surprises the other members from time to time. Though, as of late, everyone seems to have gotten used to the sudden imaginative outbursts.[5][11]
Haruto cannot cook well, but he feels that he’s getting better and he keeps trying regardless. It shows that Haruto is someone who will try to do something until he’s fairly decent at it. He is also very interested in traditional arts, as evidenced by his recent “kintsugi” hobby.[5][13]
Haruto is also a naturally curious person and will look things up when he’s unsure about them. He loves learning about new things. He is not one to back away from a challenge, and he can be quite competitive when it comes down to it.
Though he is serious in his own right, Haruto’s not one to shy away from a little playfulness. He enjoys being spoiled from time to time, too. Being ROCK DOWN’s youngest member, he playfully acts like a younger brother to everyone. He particularly enjoys teasing Reiji and asking him to spoil him more and to act brotherly toward him.[2][8][9][11]
Despite being misunderstood a few times, Haruto is overall an honest man who knows himself the best. He is proud of who he is and he is not the type of person who will change himself just because he was told to.

Haruto is a former model. After joining the VAZZROCK Project, it's been revealed that Haruto has been doing acting jobs from time to time, too.[4]

ROCK DOWN[]
Shou Onoda – Shou is easily Haruto’s closest friend. They haven’t known each other for very long compared to childhood friends Gaku and Ruka, but they knew that they would get along the moment they met.[3]
Haruto is devoted to Shou and his career as a classical violinist that he often accompanies him to his recitals. Haruto is also the only person in ROCK DOWN who succeeds in waking Shou up in the mornings.[3][7][11][13]
Haruto and Shou both love music, so it is something that they bond over. Shou wanted Haruto to love classical music more, so he started playing private concerts for him as a form of gratitude, too.[9][11]
Since Shou can be a bit clumsy, Haruto is sometimes a bit protective of him. Because Shou is a violinist, Haruto doesn’t want him doing anything that can injure his hands (i.e. holding a knife, cooking, etc.) [13][14]
Shou has mentioned before that Haruto was easy to talk to and that talking to him “feels like home,” and ever since then, they’ve been the best of friends. They’re each other’s closest confidants, and if push comes to shove, they will drop everything to help the other out.[3]
Haruto greatly looks up to Shou as a leader as well. He trusts Shou’s decisions and rarely argues with him, but when it comes down to it, he’s not scared to give his opinions.[2][3][11]
Haruto is able to tell when Shou is troubled even if Shou doesn’t really show it on his face. When Shou was troubled with how to answer Tsukino Mikoto about their future as VAZZROCK, Haruto was the first to notice that something felt off about Shou. He silently followed him with the members soon after, and had a heart-to-heart talk with Shou. As such, Shou is very grateful to have Haruto by his side.[11]
Shou is also able to tell when something feels off with Haruto. Shou is also quick to understand most of Haruto’s jokes and references no matter how obscure they might be.[8][9][14]
All in all, their relationship as friends and as leader and member is one built on mutual trust and understanding.
Reiji Amaha – Haruto greatly admires Reiji as a senior in the industry. He looks up to him the way he would an older brother, too.[9]
Despite being his senior, Haruto finds it easy to be playful with Reiji. Reiji is a very caring man by nature, and plays along with Haruto whenever he feels inclined to. Though Reiji tells Haruto off for his weird tendencies, he doesn’t really think it’s bad. He encourages the weird behavior sometimes, and is appreciative that Haruto doesn’t feel the need to put up fronts when he’s with Reiji.[4][9]
Because Haruto has a unique personality, Reiji finds him enjoyable to be with. He does feel a bit stressed about Haruto’s strange and explosive jokes and behavior, but at the end of it all, he enjoys seeing Haruto have fun. Reiji believes in being true to oneself and being honest to oneself, so he appreciates how Haruto is unapologetic about who he is.[4][9][11]
Haruto looks up to Reiji in terms of his talents and his seniority in the industry, too. He usually seeks Reiji for advice whenever there’s something he’s unsure of, and he takes everything he learns to heart.[4]
Haruto does enjoy teasing and acting spoiled around Reiji. Reiji ends up playing along most of the time even though he tells Haruto off.[9][15][16]
Ayumu Tachibana – Canonically, they have not spent much onscreen time together, but it is revealed that they’re aware of each other’s dispositions. Being older than he is, Haruto admires and respects Ayumu.[9]
Because they have a similar serious personality, ROCK DOWN members refer to them as Warrior No. 1 and Warrior No. 2 respectively.[2][9]
Ayumu is often taken aback by some of Haruto’s actions, but he’s never thought of them as weird or unusual. This is mostly because Ayumu has quite the unusual personality himself. But despite it all, Ayumu believes that he has much to learn from Haruto’s personality, too.[8][16]
Ayumu looks up to how open and how straightforward Haruto is as well. Haruto on the other hand, admires Ayumu’s tenacity, diligence, and devotion to his work and to the things that he’s passionate about.[17]
Haruto is aware of Ayumu’s love for traditional Japanese sweets, and indulges his fancy from time to time. Ayumu is older than Haruto by a few years, so he sometimes likes to act like an older brother to him, too. Haruto is aware of Ayumu’s physical disposition and does his best to look out for him whenever he can.[9][14]
Gaku Oguro – Haruto looks up to Gaku very much. He admires how great of a cook Gaku is as well. Gaku was quite taken aback with Haruto’s personality at first, but he was quickly able to warm up to him.[2][17]
Gaku enjoys Haruto’s outbursts even though he doesn’t always understand what they mean. Though, when things get out of hand, Gaku is quick to stop him if needed. Even though Gaku doesn’t understand much of Haruto’s jokes at first, he is always happy to support him if necessary. However, that doesn’t mean that Gaku’s immune to being left speechless by some of Haruto’s unexpected jokes and references.[9]
Haruto admires Gaku a lot, and thinks highly of him. When it was revealed that Gaku had his own share of “bad boy delinquent” stories to tell, Haruto was more than excited to listen and to offer reactions. Although Haruto does baffle Gaku from time to time, Gaku genuinely enjoys his company.[9][16]
Ruka Nadumi – Ruka and Haruto have very different personalities from each other, but they get along very well. Ruka enjoys being in Haruto’s company, and Haruto feels that he has much to learn from Ruka as well. Ruka immediately took a liking to Haruto because of his interesting personality, and was quick to nickname him “Haru-kun.” Haruto has never had much nicknames before, so he was happy to hear Ruka call him that.[2]
Since Ruka has a habit of immersing himself in a role once he has a stage performance, Haruto is sometimes taken aback when they interact. Haruto either plays along or doesn’t know what to do or handle Ruka in that state.[14][17]
Still, Haruto admires Ruka’s talents as an actor and asks him for advice for his acting jobs once in a while. Ruka is always happy to oblige, and enjoys imparting his knowledge to Haruto. Because Ruka is pretty short for someone his age, he has mentioned before that he was jealous of Haruto’s height.[9][18]
VAZZY[]
Takaaki Mamiya – Though their time onscreen together has been very few, it has been established that Haruto respects Takaaki very much. He admires the work he’s done for VAZZY and for the VAZZROCK Project as a whole as well. Being the older one, Takaaki does enjoy seeing Haruto’s random whims and his cute sides as well. He believes in Haruto’s potential, and thinks greatly of him as a fellow TSUKIPRO talent.[9][14]
Ouka Kira – Ouka and Haruto are two people with very different personalities. However, they were both quick to adjust to each other’s tendencies, and have since started getting along better.
Haruto witnessed Ouka being playful with the cats once. Haruto assured Ouka that being adoring towards animals is not a bad thing. Playing with Vazz and Rock has since been something that they’ve bonded over. Another thing that Ouka and Haruto bond over is the “improvement” of their non-existent cooking skills.[13]
Even Ouka knows how to play along with Haruto even though he’s not aware that he’s doing it at the moment. Although Haruto can be quite much to handle for Ouka, he does enjoy Haruto’s company.[9]
Issa Kiduku – Issa finds Haruto a very interesting person. Issa enjoys being around Haruto because of Haruto’s blunt and straightforward personality. On the other hand, Haruto respects Issa very much. He is particularly fond of Issa’s independent and brotherly tendencies.
Issa knows of Haruto and Futaba sharing clothes from time to time, and he hates the fact that they’re very tall despite being younger. Although Issa has likened Haruto to having a puppy’s personality, Issa is shown to really enjoy hanging out with Haruto. Haruto on the other hand, has thought that Issa’s very similar to a cat.[12]
Although Issa acted very haughty in front of Haruto, Haruto didn’t mind it. He simply thought it was part of Issa’s natural strong personality. Although, Haruto did find himself at a loss for what to do when he was alone with Issa since they haven’t really spent that much time together before.
When they first spent time together, Haruto was overly conscious about being accidentally disrespectful towards Issa. Issa enjoyed teasing Haruto, but eventually told Haruto that it was okay to relax.[12]
Despite being confused and at a loss for what to do at first, Haruto believes that Issa is a genuinely kind person. Though, he admits to having difficulty reading and predicting Issa’s moods.[12]
Futaba Kiduku – It’s been revealed that they get along well enough to share clothes with each other. They both have great respect for each other as people.[12][17]
Futaba is new to the industry, so he looks up to Haruto as a senior in that department. However, when it comes to normal every day chores, Haruto views Futaba as his mentor. Futaba has been coaching Haruto with cooking, and it’s been revealed that Haruto has been able to properly toast bread and boil eggs because of Futaba’s help.[13]
Futaba thinks Haruto’s personality is very interesting, and Futaba being friendly himself means that it was easy for them to get along. Futaba is still taken by surprise by some of Haruto’s obscure jokes, but he enjoys them nonetheless.[8][17]
Although they haven’t known each other for very long, Haruto is able to tell when Futaba’s feeling down, and is very happy to be of assistance to him. Futaba is appreciative of Haruto’s naturally caring personality as well.[19]
Naosuke Oyama – Haruto and Naosuke get along very well. For the most part, they have a similar wavelength and energy with each other, so they find it easy to get along. Although Naosuke still gets baffled by some of Haruto’s jokes, he tries his best to understand and react whenever he can. Haruto believes that Naosuke has a lot of potential, and is looking forward to see what he can do in the industry.[8][9][17]
Yuma Shirase – They haven’t been shown interacting much aside from little moments here and there. Haruto seems to know of Yuma’s very responsible attitude to trust him with tasks that he otherwise wouldn’t let other people handle (i.e. waking Shou up and helping him get ready for a recital.) [7]
Since Yuma is younger, he is very respectful towards Haruto. Haruto admires Yuma’s work ethic and believes that he’ll do great work in the industry through the years.[9]

Etymology[]
- The name Haruto means "" (悠) (haru) and "person" (人) (to).
- His surname Kujikawa means "long time" (久) (ku), "charity, love, mercy" (慈) (ji) and "river, stream" (川) (kawa).
Trivia []
- When several of the TSUKINO idols were discussing their favorite songs by other units, Haruto said Growth's Rudder Qiana was one of his. He called the song the origin of Growth's style & saying that he loved the worldview in it. His other favoite is Arata Uduki's Kimi、 Mai Oriru. He says people comment that he & Arata are similar and that he loves how Arata sounds in the first line.[21]
- In the same discussion, one of his solos, INISHIE, AOKI SORA, was listed as the favorite of Soshi Kagurazaka.[21]
- Haruto has a personal manager who Shou says has a similar personality to Haruto.[22]
