About

Growth (グロース Gurōsu) is a four-member idol unit under the management of TSUKINO TALENT PRODUCTION. They are part of the ALIVE series alongside SOARA, they are managed by Minato Mochiduki.

When the unit debuted there were only three members, Koki, Kensuke, and Ryota; and Koki, the leader of the unit, did not agree with the musical direction the producers wanted them to go in. Koki then encountered Mamoru, a jobless and homeless young man with a unique outlook on life and a talent for song-writing, who was quickly welcomed into the unit by the others.

Growth also have a rival unit, ZIX, from Sun promotion entertainment. Previously, their rivalry was somewhat bitter and bad-natured, but in more recent years the members of both units have mellowed and have now come to see each other as friendly rivals.

In-universe, their composer is Mamoru Fujimura; in real life, their producer is Akira Takizawa.
