About

ALTAIR THEATER (劇団アルタイル GEKIDAN ARUTAIRU), or ALGEKI for short, is a ninteen-man unit under the management of TSUKINO TALENT PRODUCTION.

ALTAIR THEATER has a unique setup where the members form three different sub-units (RIGEL, Regulus, & Sargas), the members of which are decided by poll and are subject to change, and unlike the other units they are part of the TSUKICRO series.

Initially, the unit only contained 12 members but at the end of 2017/early 2018 seven new members were added to the lineup, though currently none of them have been assigned to any of the sub-units.

Trivia

• Their series illustrator is Mayuki.
• All three of ALTAIR THEATER's sub-units are named after stars.
• Like the other unit series ALGEKI has an animal mascot, Tomte (トムテ Tomute). Tomte is a blue fairy-like creature that can only be seen by Yuri.
  • In nordic folklore tomte are typically considered Christmas elves.
• ALTAIR THEATER was supposed to feature an additional two members, one who was set to join at the units formation and another when the new members were added in late 2016. The first member ended up being dropped by the company due to contract violations, while the second dropped out due to school commitments.
• ALGEKI are unique out of the current TSUKIPRO units in that they have two distinct logos that are used interchangeably to represent the unit:
