ALIVESTAGE, or IVESTA (イブステ IBUSUTE) for short, is a 2.5 dimension dance live series featuring Growth, SOARA and ZIX.
Overview[]
Season one of the series was comprised of three parts, Let us go singing as far as we go: the road will be less tedious. -utai nagara hokou yo-, TSUKIHANA KAGURA Ao to Midori no Monogatari & SCHOOL REVOLUTION Hello Kami-sama Boku wa Koko ni Iru!, with the first two episodes occurring in 2019 and the third in late 2020. The series initially only featured Growth & ZIX prior to IVESTA's appearance in the fourth episode of S.Q.S, TSUKINO EMPIRE2 BEGINNING OF THE WORLD, with the play being SOARA's stage debut.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic it was announced on April 10, 2020, that the third episode would be cancelled due to new health & safety regulations in Tokyo. The members of IVESTA, along with the cast of S.Q.S, were also scheduled to make their first appearance in a live (strictly dance performances and little to no story segments) in 2020 at LUNATIC LIVE 2020 TAIWAN, prior to the events cancellation alongside Episode 3. The performance for Episode 3 were eventually rescheduled and the play took place October 29 - November 8, 2020.
Most of the cast of IVESTA were also scheduled to feature in the new TSUKIPRO STAGE, or PROSTA for short, series alongside the members of TSUKISTA, premiering with Machine Elements Stage: eins 「Sora wo Wataru Kaze」 in late 2020. Similar to Episode 3, the play was initially cancelled due to COVID-19, but at TSUKIPRO Sohonten it was announced that the play had been rescheduled, with some minor cast adjustments due to the schedule change. The play was later cancelled again due to Ryusei Horita, Sora Ohara's stage actor, being hospitalized with COVID along with two of the plays staff. Mashu Ishiwatari and Hibiki Watanabe, Morihito Arihara & Nozomu Nanase's actors, were also placed in quarantine due to close contact with Ryusei. TSUKINO later announced that due to no further staff or cast members testing positive they would go ahead with performances. The play was held on December 19th & 20th with no live audience, and with Sora, Mori, & Nozomu absent. Due to the cast member absences, SOARA's songs were no longer featured in the dance live portions.
A second season of IVESTA was announced at the end of the final performance of episode 3, coinciding with the final hour of the TSUKIPRO Sohonten event. Like season one, there will be three main episodes, however in addition to these there will be a "Side Story" episode focusing on ZIX. Episode 4 & 5 along with the ZIX play ran in 2021, with the Episode 6 planned for early 2022. No announcements were initially made regarding the cast when the second season was revealed, but on December 1, 2020, when the profiles for the fourth episode were shared it was revealed that all cast members except for Reo Mitani would be reprising their roles. To replace Mitani, the role of Ryota Sakuraba has been recast and he is now played by Ryo Tachibana.
Following the final performance of their sixth episode, it was announced that IVESTA would be receiving a third season, as well as another appearance in the TSUKIPRO STAGE series. As with the announcement of the second season's episodes, no announcements regarding the cast were made in regards to the third season. Additionally, a few days later Ryo Tachibana announced that he would be retiring from acting in late April, and as a result he will be graduating from the cast of IVESTA and the role of Ryota will recast for the upcoming third season.
IVESTA have also received their first TV season similar to S.Q.S TV & TSUKISTA TV: IVESTA TV, which began airing in April, 2020.
