ＷＹＤ, short for Wake Your Dreams, is a 2021 stage play featuring SOARA & Growth.
Overview[]
The fourth episode in the ALIVESTAGE stage play series, and the first episode in IVESTA's second season. The 2.5D stage play was first announced in 2020 at the end of the final performance of SCHOOL REVOLUTION Hello Kami-sama Boku wa Koko ni Iru！ alongside the other two episodes of the second IVESTA season and ZIX's Side Story play.
The play ran at the Hulic Hall in Tokyo from February 4th to February 14th, 2021, for 14 shows with most days hosting both versions of the play. Not much is known about the plot yet other then it has a focus on not giving up your dreams, with the episodes title of ＷＹＤ being an acronym for "Wake your dreams!". The play also incorporates ALIVE's designs from 2016 AGF, previously titled "Formal Coordi" in TSUKINO PARADISE, in keeping with the plays overall jazzy/stage musical theme.
Like other IVESTA episodes, there are two versions of the play: ver.BLUE (SOARA centric) and ver.GREEN (Growth centric), each with their own setlists. Like the last two IVESTA episodes, the play features three theme CDs; one joint theme between SOARA and Growth, WYD, as well as individual themes for both units, BUZZER BEATER -ver.WYD- for SOARA and Howl -ver.WYD- for Growth.
In addition to the three theme CDs there is an additional song, NIGHT OWL, is the theme of the play featured within the episode's story (a play within a play, so to speak). NIGHT OWL did not receive a traditional CD release, and as of the moment can only be heard as part of the play.
Due to ZIX's solo stage play, Break It!, running not long after this episode, this was the first play in IVESTA to not feature Makoto Sugai & Mitsuru Hishida.
